This course also covers specialist training in understanding and responding to behaviours that challenge, with a focus on safe, respectful, and supportive approaches:
Safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals
Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) techniques
Diffusion and de-escalation strategies
Primary and secondary prevention methods
Introduction to Functional Behaviour Analysis
Post-incident support and reflection
Reactive strategies are included in the extended (2-day) course option.
